Penlee Car Park

Penzance Council is responsible for the management of Penlee Car Park (next to Penlee Park).  All other parking facilities including onstreet parking are the responsibility of Cornwall Council.

The car park has 141 spaces, 4 of which are allocated for disabled badge holders. Parking in Penlee Car Park is chargeable for all users (see meter machines for rates).  Quarterly parking permits are available from the Penzance Council offices, Penlee Centre, Penlee Park.

During the Financial Year 2018/19, Penzance Council received total income of £ 103,847

The direct costs involved in maintaining the car park were £22,656.


During the previous financial year, Penzance Council received total income of £103,225 from the car park, broken down as outlined below:

Any balance of income from the car park is used by Penzance Council to maintain the gardens and buildings that are within Penlee Park, including Penlee House Gallery and Museum.
