What happens at a Town Meeting?  The Annual Town Meeting is a chance to meet your councillors and find out about issues and projects that affect everyone in the town.  It's also an opportunity for you to raise matters with the council and ask questions.

Is it just a lot of facts and figures?  Not at all.  There will be a review by the Mayor of the activities of the Town Council during the last year.  There will also be information on key developments and projects which will impact on the town's future.  Members of the public will be able to ask questions in the formal part of the meting and there'll also be a chance for you to chat to councillors and representatives of local organisations and community groups before the meeting to discuss the things that matter to you.

The Mayor and Councillors hope that as many people as possible will attend the meeting.  The town belongs to everyone and we should all have a voice in its future.

Hester Hunt, Town Clerk
