serving the people of Penzance, Newlyn, Heamoor, Mousehole, Paul and Gulval

Welcome to the website of Penzance Town Council.  On this site you will find information about the work of the town council and Penzance generally.  Penzance is the most westerly large town in England and is the gateway to the beautiful PenwithPeninsula.  Sited within the shelter of Mountís Bay, Penzance is an historic port and a centre of tourism, as well as a busy town.

Penzance also includes within its civic boundaries the working port of Newlyn and the picturesque villages of Mousehole, Gulval and Paul, as well as the residential village of Heamoor.

Penzance is twinned with Cuxhaven in Germany, Concarneau in France, Nevada City, California and Bendigo in Australia.

PLASTIC FREE PENZANCE : With the support of Penzance Town Council, Penzance has become the first community in the UK to be awarded 'plastic-free' status.  The council has confirmed their commitment to support plastic-free initiatives in the town and to removing single-use plastics from their premises.   Read More
